Climb from 10,000ft at the parking lot to the top of Tesque Peak at ~12,000ft, and optionally continue on to <br />
Deception Peak at 12,357ft. Views from both are fantastic. The trail to Tesque Peak (where the antennas <br />
are) is all service road, and is all very rideable, but continuing onward to Deception Peak will involve some <br />
hike-a-bike. Mileage is to Tesque Peak. It is possible to ride down through the ski area, but riding back down <br />
the way you came is probably a safer bet. There is definitely snow here during the winter.
Follow Paseo de Peralta to Washington Ave on the North end of Paseo de Peralta. Turn away from the plaza <br /><br />heading north on Washington Avenue to artist rd (ski Basin rd). Follow the Ski Basin Rd. 13 miles. Access this <br /><br />trail from Aspen Vista Picnic Area, just beyond the 13 mile marker. Ample parking is available.
